The aquaculture quality management system
The goal of the quality management system is to serve the needs of customers, personnel and owners (FGFRI and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry).
The system can provide customers with information on production and delivery methods, and how quality control is maintained, thus boosting customer confidence
For personnel, the system provides a general view of functions, goals, mutual interdependencies and impelmenting organizations. This helps them to manage their work, and decision-making relating to it, in the best possible way.
The quality system also provides the FGFRI and the relevant sector of government with information on how the Aquaculture Unit is meeting governmental and FGFRIs goals and complying with regulations and instructions.
The quality management system covers the whole aquaculture process. It was created following ISO standards 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996.
